Waterfront Director / Head Lifeguard

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Waterfront Director/Head Lifeguard to lead and oversee all waterfront activities at Teamworks Adventure Camp in Westford, MA.

This dynamic role involves managing daily operations, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed, and fostering a fun, engaging environment for children and youth ages 4–14.

The Waterfront Director will serve as a key leader in creating memorable experiences through swimming, boating, water games, and other outdoor activities while maintaining a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.

Duties
Supervise and coordinate all waterfront activities, including swimming, boating, and recreational games, ensuring safety and engagement.

Lead and motivate staff members by providing training on water safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

Enforce strict safety standards by conducting regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and water conditions, while complying with local regulations.

Manage camper participation at the waterfront through a buddy system and handle any behavioral or safety concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain detailed records of testing, incidents, and safety checks.

Foster a welcoming environment that promotes inclusivity, teamwork, and positive experiences.

Qualifications
Must be 21+ and lifeguard certified.

Proven experience in waterfront supervision or outdoor recreation with a strong emphasis on water safety.

Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, or teaching is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children and staff members.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams with enthusiasm while maintaining high standards of safety and engagement.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Must be physically capable of performing rescue procedures if necessary.

Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour
