Camp Apex Head Counselor

This Isn’t Elementary Camp Energy.

Camp Apex (Grades 5–6) needs Head Counselors who can lead with confidence.

These campers are independent. Competitive. Social. Loud. Smart.
They will test structure. They will test boundaries.

We’re looking for someone who can handle that — and still make it fun.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
You are leading your own group of campers daily while managing real operational responsibilities.

You will:

Run and supervise your assigned camper group
Maintain your group binder and daily documentation
Communicate consistently via walkie
Conduct frequent and accurate head counts
Run structured activities and large group games
Lead daily choice activities
Carry and return medications when required
Manage waterfront safety procedures and life jackets
Set expectations and maintain accountability
You’re not just part of the staff.
You help run the camp.

Who This Is For
Prior camp experience required
Confident leading older elementary campers
Comfortable setting boundaries
Organized and detail-oriented
Able to lead peers without ego
If you can command a group of 11-year-olds and still get them excited about capture the flag — this role fits.
