Camp Nurse

Brantwood Camp for Girls, a residential camp serving inner-city and low-income girls who are between the ages of 10 and 15, is seeking a nurse (preferably an RN) to provide nursing care for our August session. Dates are August 1st – August 16th.

Brantwood is located in beautiful Southwestern New Hampshire, and our nurse is provided with private accommodations. 

Position Overview

The Camp Nurse provides medical oversight and day-to-day healthcare services to campers and staff. This includes overseeing the storage, organization, and dispensing of medications.

Position Description

1. Caring for sick or injured campers & staff throughout the day
2. Responding to health-related emergencies that may occur within the scope of ability and license and communicating with local emergency services when necessary
3. Overseeing the organization, storage, and administration of medications. This includes keeping an up-to-date and accurate medication log
4. Reviewing and following the Standing Orders provided by Brantwood’s overseeing physician
5. Maintaining health logs in accordance with the State of New Hampshire and American Camping Association guidelines.
6. Promoting a healthy and safe Camp environment.

Suggested Experience:

Nursing experience with adolescents and teens preferred.
