The Department of Labor’s new overtime regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act took effect on July 1, 2024, bringing significant changes for employers across industries. These updates include increases to the salary threshold for highly compensated employees, among other important adjustments. Some of these updates are slated to take effect January 1, 2025.
