New England Accreditation Volunteer Visitors, this huddle is for you!

Circle up with fellow visitors and accreditation staff. We’ll share news and updates, plus takeaways from last year’s visits. Then, share tips and tricks with each other to make your visits smooth and effective as you work with camp teams.

The first 30 minutes will cover expectations of a New England Visitor, tips/tricks/reminders for Visit prep, and common or perennial challenges/things to remember.

New England Visitor Huddle

Part 1 (30 minutes)

• Welcome/Introduction
• Expectations of a New England Visitor
• Tips/tricks/reminders about the Visit (what to expect, bring, remember, etc.)
• Resources available and where they are
• Update to scoring options this year
• Pause for questions – if they’re quick, we answer. Otherwise, parking lot until the end.

Part 2 (50 minutes)

• Case studies: Using the contents from the Accreditation Volunteer Course Part II, the group will join breakout rooms to talk through situations/scenarios/cases to practice for the summer.

Part 3 (10 minutes-ish)

• We’ll rejoin the main room to report out questions, revelations, reminders, etc. that came out of these breakouts.
