ACA, New England can help you with certifying your staff

We know you have had a lot on your mind while planning for summer.  As you shift focus to training staff, are you in need of a course to certify your staff in First Aid, CPR or Lifeguading?

We can offer options for First Aid and CPR courses through a blended learning format in which your staff are able to complete 50% of the course online, and 50% in person with social distancing in place.

Contact Elizabeth with your questions.

American Red Cross Certification Options:

Provisional Certification Courses Offer Options

If you are unable to get to a course at this time, the Red Cross is offering a Provisional Certification. New and recertifying students in First Aid/CPR/AED and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) complete the blending learning portion of their class and receive a provisional certification which allows the student 90 days before they must take the instructor-led skills session. The instructor-led skill check must be completed for the 2 year certification.

120-Day Student Certification Extensions

The Red Cross is authorizing a 120-day extension of all student certifications expiring between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2020. This includes certifications for the following courses: First Aid/CPR/AED, Resuscitation Suite, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding (and these lifeguarding bundles), among others. The extension does not apply to Instructor or Instructor Trainer certifications or any online only courses.

This course enables a certificate holder to extend any base level certifications that expire between March 1st – June 30th that were acquired through instructor-led or blended learning classes taught in the community, full service, or AP/LTP channels. Instructor certifications, instructor trainer certifications, online only classes as well as the recently released provisional certifications are not eligible for the 120 day certification extension. The extension certificate must be presented with a certificate that has expired as proof of current certification.

Blood Donations

There is also a critical blood shortage.  If you are healthy and able to donate, you can go to:   http://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive   (social distancing protocols are being followed at all blood drives).
