2024 Keynote & All-Conference Plenary

(2025 information will be posted in early 2025)

Keynote – Thursday, 1:45PM

Disrupting Burnout with Dr. Patrice Buckner Jackson, EdD

According to the Gallup Panel Workforce Study from February 2022, 76% of professionals report experiencing some level of burnout at work.*  The prevalence of burnout and overwhelm within your team impacts team performance, employee engagement, and ultimately the camp experience.

In this keynote, Dr. Patrice Buckner Jackson (lovingly known as Dr. PBJ) will offer a practical framework for overcoming overwhelm, compassion fatigue and burnout in the workplace.  Specifically, participants will:

  • Identify the personal impact of working through sustained crisis,
  • Evaluate themselves against the continuum of burnout,
  • Understand the elements of disrupting compassion fatigue and burnout for themselves,
  • Apply the framework to relieve stress, increase focus, direct department activity, and create plans for serving your camps as well as each other, and
  • Use new understanding to implement a new approach to self-care that is sustainable and effective.

This session will include remarks from ACA, New England leadership, awards, and a dynamic keynote.
