Mike Douglass Camp BishopswoodOriginally from Central New York, Michael Douglass first became involved with camping at the age of 12 on the shores of Lake Vanderkamp. "I loved going to summer camp as a kid. It was a place where I could be myself, try new things, make lots of friends, and just have fun." Mike started working at summer camps at the age of 19. He comes to Bishopswood with over 15 years of summer camp experience.

He has served in a variety of roles including counselor, unit leader, CIT trainer, waterfront director, and year round program director. He has also worked behind the scenes on camp maintenance projects, setting up camp for the season, answering the phones and creating delicious meals for campers and their families. You name it, Mike has probably done it. While not at camp, Mike spent almost ten years teaching math, special education, and piloted a dropout prevention program.
