The Equipment and Logistics Coordinator is a year-round, full-time position. With guidance from the Director of Educational Partnerships, the Coordinator works with the program leaders to outfit and ration all overnight field experiences (and some day programs), including school program encampments, camp wilderness trips and school program outdoor experiences such as expeditions, solos, and outdoor skills weekends. The coordinator is responsible for all activities taking place in Chewonki’s Packout facility, which includes maintaining outdoor equipment and food inventories, supervising seasonal Packout staff, and providing support and guidance for all Packout users. In the summer, the Coordinator oversees drivers for transportation logistics. Like all positions at Chewonki, the Coordinator must collaborate with program and department leaders to identify opportunities to simplify and improve systems.
