Job Description

The Director of Auxiliary Programs develops, implements, and oversees non-tuition, revenue-generating programs utilizing the physical and human resources of Fay School in support of the School’s mission. The Director oversees Fay’s after-school programs and manages facilities rentals. The Director also administers Fay’s multiple summer programs and is responsible for hiring and supervising the summer program directors. The Director of Auxiliary Programs reports to the Director of Finance and Operations. This is a year-round, full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities of the Director of Auxiliary Programs include:

  1. Developing, implementing, overseeing, and growing sustainable, revenue-generating programs on Fay School’s academic and athletic campuses during the school year and in the summer
  2. Developing and managing the Auxiliary Programs budget
  3. Administering program registration and billing
  4. Hiring and supervising Auxiliary Programs personnel
  5. Managing and developing summer programs and ensuring compliance with governing authorities
  6. Managing and developing after-school and vacation programs
  7. Identifying and coordinating rental opportunities for school facilities and grounds
  8. Managing the student bus transportation program
  9. Assessing the effectiveness of existing programs and the viability of new ventures
  10. Maintaining strong working relationships with other key administrators, including the Directors of Facilities, Athletics, Admissions, and Marketing


Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five to seven years of administrative leadership experience in a non-profit setting, ideally working with children. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with exceptional organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with marketing, an enthusiasm for creating and guiding startup ventures, and a commitment to maintaining and growing the School’s existing, high-quality programs.
