This camp focuses on coast-to-coast exploration of the rocky shores, beaches, fields, and wooded areas of this unique South Shore peninsula. Campers discover the plants and animals that call this place home and learn about the delicate balance that supports all living things. With the new Wakeman & O’Donnell Center at World’s End as our home base, campers have even more opportunities for science observation and activities. World’s End holds a children’s summer day camp located in Hingham, MA. World’s End is a coastal property offering rocky shores, hillsides, fields, and woodlands. In daily camp adventures, we explore these habitats and interact with the natural world. Trustees Camp Educators connect children to the land while offering valuable time outdoors, learning, exploring, making friends, and having fun. Camp Educators work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday from June 15 until August 18. Camp Educators are responsible for the planning and daily execution of camp programs and activities, and direct supervision of campers 5-11 years old. This position reports to the Education Manager/Camp Director.
Essential Functions:
Be responsible for the daily supervision and safe-keeping of a group of 10-15 campers (range of 5-10 years old)
Design and implement camp lesson activities based on the natural world and other environmental themes with support from Camp Director and Trustees camp resources
Plan daily age-appropriate schedule of games and crafts with the help of the rest of the camp team
Lead daily nature exploration and inquiry investigation activities with your camper group
Perform daily camp staff chores to clean, organize, and prepare for each day
Report injuries or behavioral issues to the Camp Director
Meet periodically with the Camp Director to evaluate experience and performance
Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Requirements:
Reliable transportation Must be available June 15 through August 18 A satisfactory criminal background check (CORI and SORI) Adult/Child CPR and Basic First Aid certified Able and willing to work outdoors all summer in variable weather conditions
Suggested Experience:
Experience in outdoor education, working as a camp counselor, classroom teacher, or informal educator with children ages 5-10 Knowledge of or interest in nature education and desire to share your passion for the natural world with children.
