Head Camp Counselor

We are seeking motivated and engaging Head Camp Counselors to join our growing camp. In this position you will play a key role in leading our campers through their day while making sure they have a safe and fun experience at camp.

You will collaborate with other counselors to design and facilitate off-mountain recreational activities example: evening activities

Campers range in age from eight to seventeen. Counselors will be responsible for a group of eight campers each week. All counselors and campers are housed in the camp dorms at Tilton School.

Requirements:

• Complete Highland Camps online training program through the ACA
• Attend Highland Camps Staff Orientation
• First aid and CPR training Certification
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Comfortable in a team-player role
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Suggested Experience:

 

• Plan & oversee camper activities
• Ensure camper safety and monitor their activities
• St up and ensure recreation equipment is secure and stored properly
• Supervise campers at all times this includes while awake in dorms
• Scheduled to work one weekend to accommodate multi week campers
• Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
• Participate in and or lead evening/weekend activities
