Sailing Instructors

Summer day camp looking for sailing instructors to teach sailing to youth ages 9 to 14.

Requirements:

18 years of age and older Experience in teaching sailing to youth on an open waterfront. Lifeguard certified with waterfront module US Sailing level 1 certification Able to obtain State of CT PWC certification Available form mid June to mid August for 9 weeks of camp.

Suggested Experience:

Come sail away with us this summer on New Haven Harbor in Long Island Sound. We are a day camp, Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm mid June to mid August. Searching for staff who have experience instructing youth in sailing on picos and 420's. Instructional experience necessary, comfortable in teaching out in the elements and knowledge of small sailboats necessary. Campers ages 9 to 14 from beginner to advanced sailing come for 2 weeks to learn coastal waterways, environmental education and how to sail. Work with an open waterfront team of 6 staff and 22 staff overall.
