Location: Wiscasset, Maine Reports to: President Direct Reports: (2) Associate Director of Camp, (1) Camp Administrator, (80+) Summer Camp Staff Schedule: Full Time, Year- round Fall, Winter, Spring: Hybrid position Summer (June - August): Residential Position (Housing Provided; This position is required to reside on campus during the Summer Season) Salary: $64,000 - $70,000/Annually (Based on qualifications) Benefits: Seasonal Housing, meals on campus, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, 403B retirement plan, access to professional development funds. Requirements:
Must pass a Criminal Background Check including Motor Vehicle Record. Valid Driver’s License approved by Chewonki’s insurance carrier. Current CPR/First Aid Certification. 5+ years of Leadership roles in the camping industry. Decade + of youth program experience. 3+ years of supervisory experience. Prior experience in outdoor learning or nature based programming, preferred. Excited about creating and delivering an educational, aligned, and fun model of camp that supports and encourages children equitably. Proficient in the use of Google Workspace. Willingness to learn family management database systems, e.g. Salesforce and CampMinder. Committed to excellence. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 30 lb at a time. Must be able to work in an active, outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours. Must be able to travel as needed.
