About Camp Susan Curtis:
The only program of its kind in Maine, Camp Susan Curtis provides a tuition-free, outdoor, residential learning experience exclusively for Maine children, ages 8 to 17.

The Program Associate is an integral role that supports program delivery, fundraising, and operations at Camp Susan Curtis. Reporting to the Camp Director, the Program Associate will assist with camper registration, camp staff hiring, impact reporting, and other mission-critical activities. This position will also provide administrative support to help raise awareness and funds for Camp Susan Curtis as well as to ensure effective nonprofit management. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented with a can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, and a caring heart.
Support families and referral partners to register campers
Maintain camper database
Assist with the regular outreach to referral partners and maintain referral partner database
Assist with camp staff recruitment and hiring
Manage camp scholarship opportunities and in-kind donation drives
Support the review and renewal of camp insurance policy and annual filings
Maintain and update internal camp policies and procedures
Assist with data collection and impact reporting for camp
Work with the Camp Director to project and monitor annual expenses and feed into the budgeting process
Support bookkeeper with camp staff payroll, payment of invoices, generation of financial reports, and other bookkeeping duties as assigned
Answer telephone, open and distribute mail, procure office supplies, and other administrative duties as assigned
Process donations, generate donor acknowledgement letters, post content to social media platforms, and other development and communication duties as assigned

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
Experience with database entry preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Nonprofit experience preferred
