As much as you give to this experience\, you’ll gain from new ideas\, perspectives\, and approaches to the mission-driven work of the camp industry. \nTo become an accreditation volunteer\, please complete these steps: \n\nSubmit an Accreditation Volunteer Application (online) \n\nOn the form\, you’ll indicate which Accreditation Volunteer Course Part II you want to take (formerly known as the Associate Visitors Course) – FREE\n\n\n\nOnce you are registered for the course\, you’ll be enrolled in the required online pre-course work (AVC PART 1 up to 8 hours) a month prior to your PART 2 course. This self-paced\, interactive online pre-course work includes the Accreditation Process Workshop so you are up to date as well as roles and responsibilities of an accreditation volunteer\, compliance demonstration\, scoring\, and mandatory standards. This online pre-work must be successfully completed in order to attend the Accreditation Volunteer Course PART 2. \nTo become an accreditation volunteer\, you must fully attend and participate in ALL parts of AVC PART 1 & AVC PART 2 (this is a live in-person session with trained facilitators. Participants become familiar with the legal implications of visitor actions\, as well as develop skills in gathering information\, making compliance decisions\, and consistently applying the standards in a variety of situations. This course stresses the awareness and acceptance of the intent of the standards to represent accepted practices of organized camping.\nThis course will be held In-Person with local COVID precautions in place.
