Since 1965, the ACA National Board of Directors has paid tribute to those who make an extraordinary contribution to the advancement of the camp movement in the United States and who have played an important role in creating today’s association by presenting major recognition awards at its annual conference. We are proud to announce that six recipients from New England are among the 2015 National Award Recipients!

Steve Sudduth, Director, Wyonegonic Camps, Denmark, ME
President of the Board, ACA New England
National Honor Award
An award for individuals who have given exemplary service to  ACA; work is regional and national in scope through committees, addresses, or research.

Craig Whiting, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Emagination Computer Camps, Salem, NH
Vice-President of the Board, ACA New England
National Service Award
Given to recognize continued and increasing service to ACA beyond the local level.

Ellen Gannett, M. Ed., Director, National Institute on Out-of-School-Time
Former board member of the National ACA
Hedley S. Dimock Award
Awarded to individuals who contribute to the field of camp from related professions, such as outdoor education, medicine, or social sciences.

Crossroads for Kids, Duxbury, MA
Eleanor Eells Award for Program Excellence
The Eleanor P. Eells Award recognizes program excellence as well as research in practice at camps.
