STATE NEWS

In December at its annual meeting CCA celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a fantastic event at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.  The event was a culmination of a yearlong celebration of camping in CT.  Guest speaker Gary Forster, a former member of CCA, gave a state of camping across the country and in Connecticut and was a highlight of the night.  We also awarded the Bernie Moore Scholarship to Brigit Hogan from Winding Trails Summer Day Camp.  The raffle to support this scholarship also had a banner night with some great raffle prizes available and winners all around.  It was a great night to honor the past and set the tone for CCA moving forward for its next 50 years!

Upcoming events:
Meeting with the CT Office of Early Childhood is on Wednesday March 2nd at Winding Trails in Farmington, CT from 10:00am to Noon.  An afternoon event will be held as well with details provided soon about topic and timing.
