Nearly 100 camp and business members braved terrible snowy roads to attend the January 16th winter meeting of Maine Summer Camps.  In the morning, representatives from the Maine Office of Tourism, Maine Tourism Assn and Colby College admissions presented a panel discussion of current marketing trends and advice for camps.  Following, an open discussion of concerns and ideas about the implications of the Newtown shooting tragedy was held. Tim Wilson of the Seeds of Peace camp (for teens from countries at war or in conflict) was on hand to help facilitate the discussion and share security resources.  A luncheon and business networking event followed.
