On behalf of the ACA National Awards Committee I want to make sure you are aware that every ACA member is able to nominate a person or program for a national award. The process is easy and the different awards and criteria may be found at www.acacamps.org/awards

Did you see an amazing camp program this summer. Or hear about one? One that made you take a step back and say to yourself, “Wow. That is just awesome.” Now is the time to recognize those programs – or some of the amazing people in our region with an ACA National Award! Consider nominating an individual or program today.

Why Nominate? Volunteers are the heart and soul of ACA. Too many times great individuals give to our association in various ways, but do not get the recognition they deserve. A nomination is most powerful when it comes from your peers – from fellow ACA volunteers. Help spotlight one of your mentors, leaders, or an emerging professional so that we can all celebrate in the great work being done!

Who Can Nominate? Anyone! (yes, it is that simple).

What is the process? Head to www.ACAcamps.org/awards. The nomination process is easy – an online form is available or download a form. Additional letters of support are welcomed by the committee and can be uploaded during the nomination process.

What is the Deadline? October 26th

When are Awards Given Out? At the ACA National Conference, held this year in Albuquerque, NM - February 21-24, 2017.
