Three weeks ago, nearly three hundred of us gathered at Fenway Park to celebrate the true spirit of summer camp and to raise the funds that will give the gift of camp to children in need in Summer 2016.  Pictured at right with me are Lisa Loeb, our 2015 Honoree and Emcee Joyce Kulhawik. Huge thanks go out to all our Camp Champions Supporters - from Celebration attendees to Sponsors, from generous donors of financial gifts and/or in-kind services to amazing volunteers, and from hundreds of individuals who powered the auction either through their donations or  their bids. Don't miss the chance to bid one last time on some great items in the Online Auction that's ending tomorrow.

On behalf of ACA New England, I would like to thank our Camp Champions Committee members for a phenomenal job this year, especially the Co-Chairs: Jeff Hacker (Camp Cedar), Dan Isdaner (Camp Mataponi) and Jason Silberman (Camp Matoaka). Congratulations on a great event to the entire talented and dedicated committee: Emily & Kyle Courtiss (Camp Vega), Susie Klau, Mark Lipof (Camp Micah), Ed Metzendorf, Sarah Seaward (Camp Nashoba North) and Mark Toporoff (Camp Danbee). And thanks too to the many key volunteers who coordinated key aspects of the event: Cheryl Oliveira, Volunteer Coordinator, Greg Jutkiewicz (Concord Academy Summer Camp), Coordinator of Lighting & Sound, and Beth Johns-Thomas (Passport Day Camp at Cambridge Montessori School), Decorations Coordinator.

Not only does the fundraising component of Camp Champions live on, so does the publicity from the event. We're excited to still see our 2015 Honoree, Lisa Loeb, camp philanthropist and advocate and Grammy®-nominated Singer/Songwriter being profiled on the radio and in print. And each time Lisa is profiled for receiving the Camp Champions Award, ACA New England and the camps we accredit benefit from some additional visibility. It will be exciting to find out soon how many children will benefit from ACA Accredited day and overnight camp experiences next summer as a result of the fundraising success of this year's Camp Champions event. If you have not seen them already, check out all the fun photos from the big night in our Facebook Album!

The holidays are nearly here and preparations for 2016 are well underway. We're gearing up for our 95th New England Conference. We're welcoming newly accredited camps and gearing up for the next accreditation cycle.  And we're excited about serving camps and members in some new ways in the new year.

I send you warm wishes for a most wonderful holiday season!
