THANK YOU 2014 Camp Champions Celebration Supporters!

The sold out 2014 Camp Champions Celebration, held Friday night (11/21) at Fenway Park's State Street Pavilion was quite an event thanks to an enormous group of people: our Honoree Anna Gould and the Camp Sunshine Family, Sponsors, Donors and In-Kind Donors, Auction Donors, Guests,  the ACA New England Board and Staff, in addition to a large and talented group of Volunteers including the Camp Champions Committee. Congratulations to Committee Co-Chairs, Jeff Hacker of Camp Cedar, Dan Isdaner of Camp Mataponi, and Jason Silberman of Camp Matoaka & Auction Chair, Sarah Seaward of Camp Nashoba North, pictured here with Honoree Anna Gould, ACA New England President, Steve Sudduth of Camp Wyonegonic, Executive Director Bette Bussel and three members of the Camp Champions Committee, Emily and Kyle Courtiss of Camp Vega and Mark Toporoff of Camp Danbee. We'll soon be able to estimate how many children in need will have the chance to attend camp as a result of the evening's success. Since 2011, 474 of New England's children in need have been offered a campership - 217 of them last summer. The Camp Champions Celebration is the primary fundraising event for ACA New England's Campership Fund. Our raffle plays a large role in that. Pictured right are Sarah Seaward, Auction Chair, and host, Phil Lipof, Co-Anchor of WCVB-TV NewsCenter 5, ready to pull the winning tickets with some special and enthusiastic young guests, Jack and Sydney Glassman of Sharon.

Check out highlights of the evening in these photos captured by our event photographer, Allan E. Dines. And, also posted here for your viewing pleasure is the video that debuted at the Celebration featuring Anna Gould's work at Camp Sunshine. We love the photo below of Anna during a most special part of the evening as she listens to the wonderful words of Lexie and Alice Williams, who are longtime campers and volunteers at Camp Sunshine.

We send our heartfelt appreciation to the hundreds of people who made ACA New England's fourth Camp Champions Celebration an enormous success!
