New England members receive awards at National Conference

The national organization of the American Camp Association held it's annual Conference February 19-22, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, two of our own New England members where honored with National awards!

Eleanor P. Eells Award for Program Excellence awarded by the American Camping Foundation

The Eleanor P. Eells Award for Program Excellence focuses on recognizing program excellence at camps. Eleanor P. Eells was a leader and inspiration within the field of camp throughout her life. She was an active participant in the Settlement House and Social Service Agency camp movements and a pioneer in therapeutic camping. She was one of the founders of the Fund for Advancement of Camping and served as its director through FAC's formative years.

We congratulate Camp Isola Bella (American School for the Deaf) on being honored with this award in 2019.


National Service Award awarded by the American Camp Association

The Service Award is designed to recognize continued and increasing service beyond the field/affiliate office level.

We congratulate Mr. Ron Hall for being honored with this award in 2019.
