Camp Chewonki consists of three separate programs: Camp Chewonki for Boys, Camp Chewonki for Girls, and Camp Chewonki Wilderness Trips. Founded in 1915, Chewonki was founded on a love for ecology, wildlife, and learning about the relationship between humans and the world around us. We celebrate the power of unplugging from ordinary life and plunging into the rivers, lakes, mountains, woods, and coastline of Maine and eastern Canada, and of cultivating leadership skills, community, and self-discovery among campers and wilderness trip participants along the way.
