The special activity coordinator is responsible for creating, planning, and implementing all evening activities and other special activities (e.g., rainy days, 10-year carnival celebration) during Camp Aranu'tiq.
Evening activity is scheduled after dinner each day, approximately 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m., and involves the entire camp. Counselors or counselors-in-training (CITs) will be present to assist. The special activity coordinator may choose to do one large camp-wide activity or decide to break the camp into two smaller groups.
The special activity coordinator will also be the counselor for the CITs (ages 16-18) and will live in a bunk next door to them during two of the weeks of camp. During the other two weeks, the special activity coordinator will live on their own without direct supervisory responsibilities.
