Wyonegonic Camps for girls is the oldest girls camp in the USA. The 350 acre camp is located on 10,000 feet of lake shoreline in southwestern Maine, 30 minutes from the White Mountains of New Hampshire and 1 hour from the Coast and Portland, Maine. Campers live with their counselors in rustic lakefront cabins where they form strong bonds and friendships. Three separate age units in camp allow for a small and close knit community of like peers amongst the backdrop and tradition of a large camp. The seven week traditional camp program emphasizes all aspects of aquatics and specializes in wilderness canoe and hiking trips. Campers have free choice in setting goals and activities for their program. Our affiliation with Camp Winona for boys (5 miles away) allows for a brother/sister experience.
