  1. Co-Director of Afterschool Program 
  2. Director of North Beach swimming program 
  3. Oversee and manage the Noanet Boating program 
  4. Help to coordinate the vacation week programs 
  5. Other duties to be assigned

Requirements

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  1. Co-Director of Afterschool Program
    a. Plan and implement all activities and schedules in line with program goals
    b. Work with Marketing department to create annual calendar for promoting and attracting new families
    c. Manage all camper files, medications, etc.
    d. Communicate weekly with each family with updates to the program schedule and child(ren)’s behavior
    e. Coordinate additional family events throughout the school year 
  2. Director of North Beach swimming program
    a. Conduct hiring process for approximately 25 summer staff including recruitment, interviews and hire paperwork
    b. Oversee and evaluate staff performance at least twice during summer season
    c. Create and manage the weekly swim schedule to accommodate all camps, Summer Adventure programs and rentals
    d. Create and implement pre-summer skills assessments and trainings
    e. Oversee high quality and safe swim instruction and recreational swim program
    f. Ensure beach and safety equipment is set up and broken down in a timely fashion
    g. Communicate regularly with Camp Directors throughout the summer
    h. Work with Executive Director to assist with tour visits to North Beach throughout the camp season
    i. Coordinate night and weekend coverage for outings and rentals
    j. Monitor equipment and supplies necessary for program 
  3. Oversee and manage the Noanet Boating program
    a. Conduct hiring process for approximately 5 summer staff including recruitment, interviews and hire paperwork
    b. Oversee and evaluate staff performance at least twice during summer season
    c. Create a boating curriculum that encourages instruction and recreation
    d. Create and implement pre-summer skills assessments and trainings
    e. Create and manage the weekly boating schedule to accommodate all camps, Summer Adventure programs and rentals
    f. Monitor equipment and supplies necessary for program 
  4. Help to coordinate the vacation week programs
    a. Work with Marketing department to attract families for February and April vacation week programming
    b. Coordinate weekly schedule and staffing/volunteer needs
    c. Supervise and be on-site during program hours
    d. Manage all camper files, medications, etc. 
  5. Other duties to be assigned
    a. Camp planning and curriculum development
    b. Strategic and long-term planning
    c. Public programs as needed
    d. Education & Adventure programming as needed

Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelors degree or similar educational accomplishments 
  • Knowledge of computers and familiarity with MS Office package 
  • Able to handle diverse tasks 
  • Ability to professionally represent Hale Reservation in person and on the phone 
  • Flexible, dependable, friendly, cooperative member of the team 
  • Experience in office organization 
  • Lifeguard Certification 
  • Management experience of a waterfront
