Situated on 1,100 acres of unspoiled woodlands, winding streams, extensive hiking trails and scenic ponds, Hale Day Camp offers the perfect backdrop for a summer of outdoor exploration and learning. Hale Day Camp's "backyard" consists of two playing fields, a private swimming beach with changing area and bathroom, an outdoor activity pavilion, an Arts & Crafts cabin, Worthington and Powissett Lodges.
Hale Day Camp Philosophy

We are looking to fill an Adventure Staff position that has become available at Hale Day Camp this summer in our Outdoor Adventures program. Adventure Staff would lead activities such as, but not limited to: Wilderness Survival Skills, Rock Climbing, Environmental Ethics, Team Building, Camp Skills, Hiking, Map & Compass & GPS as well as lead overnight trips on and off campus.

Time Frame: Seasonal
Must have a current WFA, WFR, LGT or higher certification. Must be 21 years of age or older.
At this point, applicants must have at least one year experience working with youth in the outdoors, as well as some trip leading experience and have completed at least three years of college.
Applicants must have a minimum of Wilderness First Aid or similar certification, including a current CPR certification.
Must be able to hike long distances with a backpack and be able to teach the classes listed above.
Must be able to work until August 21st.
This is a replacement position for a staffer who is unable to finish the summer with us.
