Head counselors are members of the team and oversee, manage, and coordinate bunk life, health, safety, and programs. As a member of the administrative team, the Head Counselors contribute to the design and presentation of counselor orientation training, and supervise and evaluate the bunk staff. Bachelor’s degree, those candidates with majors in education, Jewish Communal work, social work, recreation or physical education are encouraged to apply. Masters Degree desired.
5+ years of direct camp staff supervisory experiences as Assistant Head Counselor, Unit Leader, Head Counselor, or Department Head preferably at a Jewish residential camp. Proven experiences coordinating and managing a staff through a residential camp schedule is an asset.
