Job Description

The Flying Cloud Camp Director has the primary responsibility of effectively managing a summer camp program for approximately 45 male identified campers and about 20 male identified staff. The Flying Cloud program is a primitive outdoor living skills camp with a focus on living simply and without modern “technology.” The Director’s primary responsibility is to strive for the good health and happiness of the campers, and full enrollment at Flying Cloud. The Director is responsible for all aspects of staff management, camper/parent relations, program development/management, camp risk management, American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation, budget oversight and adherence to the Farm & Wilderness mission.

  • Background or experience in Outdoor Education or Adventure Education

  • Ability to troubleshoot in both outdoor education and office settings 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
