Finance and Operations Manager - American Camp Association, New England

 

Job Description

The American Camp Association, New England—the region’s leading source for summer camp information—enriches the lives of children and families through quality camp experiences. ACA New England announces an opening on our staff team for a Finance and Operations Manager.

The Finance and Operations Manager will manage our core financial and administrative functions. These include:

Finances:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable 
  • Maintain internal financial procedures 
  • Maintain financial records using QuickBooks and CRM database 
  • Develop financial reports and metrics as needed 

Operations:

  • Manage general office administration 
  • Serve as onsite technology resource including daily backups and database support 
  • Oversee building maintenance and upkeep of office machines 
  • Assist with research and cost comparisons for vendors to maintain cost effectiveness and quality 

Fundraising:

  • Receive, process and acknowledge donations and gifts 
  • Manage systems for credit card donations, particularly online gifts 
  • Administer Campership Fund 

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated initiative, ability to work well with others, a sense of humor and an interest in helping to change the lives of children and families through the camp experience.

Requirements

  • Four year degree in a related field
  • Experience in administrative work and office management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial management and accounting
  • Experience with information technology/systems management
  • Significant experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and databases
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong writing skills
  • Enthusiasm for our mission of enhancing the lives of children and families through the camp experience.
