Job Description

The Development & Alumni Relations Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of individual fundraising donor strategies for both restricted and unrestricted giving, the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors.

The D&ARS will be responsible for establishing a planned giving program. In support of the department, perform Raiser’s Edge data and gift entry, including the maintenance, updating and functional improvement of the Foundation’s alumni and donor databases.

  • Supports the department’s planning and implementation of Foundation-sponsored special events for alumni and/or donors. 
  • Supports the production of all public information resources, including the Foundation website, blog, social media sites, Reveille newsletters, Annual Reports, advertising, and other communications initiatives, print or electronic. 
  • Supports, coordinates and appreciates volunteers in their event planning and hosting roles. Supports special donor cultivation and fundraising events in key Foundation community geographies, in collaboration with the Development & Alumni Relations Department. 
  • Assists with the invitation and RSVP process for special events. Supports event planning committees and hosts, and staff events as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Travel is required for the purposes of supporting donor cultivation and solicitation events. Some weekend time may be required for the purposes of supporting donor cultivation and solicitation events, quarterly Board meetings, particularly during the summer camp season.


The ideal candidate has strong experience in fundraising, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong team building skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of constituents.
