The Barton Center for Diabetes Education is a residential summer camp with a mission to improve the lives of children with insulin-dependent diabetes through education, recreation, and support programs which inspire and empower.
The Barton Center runs two concurrent summer camps serving over 800 campers during 1 week, 2 week and 3 week sessions; Camp Joslin for boys and Clara Barton Camp for girls.
Counselors will stay in a cabin with 6-15 campers, helping campers live together and adjust to camp.
This position is an integral part of the overall program, you will use all skills, talents, experience and knowledge to positively influence the summer camp experience for children ages 6-16.
Possessing the ability to have fun, be a good role model and enjoy the outdoors are a must!
You will also be responsible for providing leadership during various activities during the day, along with assisting in the activity planning process for campers.
