Counselor - Night Eagle Wilderness Adventures

Job Description

Night Eagle is a primitive camp for no more than 36 boys, ages 10-14. Located on 135 forested acres and completely surrounded by 365,000 acres of the Green Mountains, Night Eagle is somewhat secluded. Counselors live in tipis with four campers of mixed ages and lead earth based activities (fire making with flint & steel, plant identification, tracking, camouflage), create lots of crafts, go on hikes, canoe, swim, and play lots of games. If you can lead these types of activities or want to learn, then we'd like to talk with you!

Additional Information

At Night Eagle we simplify our lives and reduce our dependence on material things. Through outdoor activities and the slower pace of life in camp, boys naturally develop a deeper respect for the land and an authentic sense of personal accomplishment as they learn to live competently in the woods. Night Eagle is a different kind of camp based on mutual responsibility and cooperation. Through community living and group decision making, boys learn to live and play together in a spirit of cooperation rather than competition. ACA accredited camp.
