Perfect Opportunity for Newly Licensed RNs or Practicing RNs Looking for a Camp Nurse Experience

June 18 – August 15, 2019 – Full season, preferred
June 18– July 21, 2018 – Session I
July 21 – August 15, 2019 – Session II

Camp Tevya, celebrating 81 seasons as a non-profit Jewish culture camp for boys and girls ages 8 to 15, welcomes qualified candidates for camp nurses. The health and welfare of our campers and staff are extremely important. Tevya has a separate health center and is staffed with 5 professional healthcare providers, examination areas, and overnight accommodations for those who are too sick to be in their bunks.

Summer’s responsibilities:

  • Screening campers and staff who attend daily sick calls.
  • Dispensing daily medicines.
  • Attending to injuries.
  • Scheduling doctor’s appointments.
  • Responding to all medical emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining exceptional customer services with campers’ parents.
  • Communication with local pediatricians or family practitioners, who prepare standing orders for the summer.
