The Christine E Smith Child Health foundation is starting a new camp named, The Red Barn Camp. This will be a summer camp for children with health challenges starting in the summer of 2018. Camp activities may include therapy through one on one counseling, art therapy, and natural therapy, in addition to fun outdoor activities and arts and crafts. The camp may feature animals as a comfort to the children and for therapeutic remedies. The foundation is looking for a camp director to help manage the camp, plan activities, and train the staff.
Apply by: December 16 2017
Camp/Organization: The Red Barn Camp
Location: Bath, New Hampshire (03740)
Type of Position: Director
Time Frame: Year Round
- Candidate must live in New England: this ensures that you will be able to direct the camp hands on when the time comes.
- Candidate must have great communication skills: the summer of 2018 will be the first year that The Red Barn Camp is in session, therefore, you will be helping make very important decisions that will leave a lasting impact on the camp and future directors for years to come.
- Candidate must have an open mind: due to 2018 being the fist session of the camp we will have flexibility in making decisions that impact the camp and campers.
Potential camp directors must have at least 2 years of experience as a camp director as well as having a background of working with children. This will enable you to take on the challenges of being a camp director and working with children with ease. Our camp staff will need someone who can lead and set an example as well as our campers.
