Assistant Program Director Position Description: The Brantwood Camp Assistant Program Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director with the daily supervision of all campers and staff members in residence, overseeing the implementation of an existing program which consists of a variety of athletics, team-building activities, swimming, hiking, ropes course challenges, and other traditional camp activities, and evaluating campers and staff. The Assistant Program Director assists the Program Director with staff training, maintaining compliance with American Camp Association accreditation standards, crisis management, and budget monitoring.

Requirements

• Appreciation and understanding of the mission of Brantwood Camp
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferably in a camp setting
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing
• Experience as a leader in large group settings that includes work with children
• Ability to lead others towards the positive resolution of difficult situations
• Experience implementing camp programming
• Sound judgment
• Knowledge of computers and the skills to efficiently operate Microsoft Office
• Driver’s license, a reliable car, and the ability and willingness to travel to the Boston area and New Hampshire as necessary (approximately 6 times) during the year

Experience

-Experience in residential camping
-Experience working with inner-city teens
-Residential Camp Staff Supervisory experience
