Currently seeking a Health Supervisor to oversee the healthcare of all children's programs happening at Thoreau this summer -- Camp Thoreau, Tennis Camp, 'On Your Toes' Dance Camp, and Planet Thoreau. First and foremost, this position is to serve as Camp Thoreau's camp nurse and to complete all camp duties listed below. Secondarily, this position is to oversee the paperwork, medication administration and emergency procedures for all other children's programs at Thoreau. The main presence will be at camp; however this position is responsible for keeping track of paperwork and daily logs for the other children's programs happening at the club. • Day to day responsibility for implementing Camp Thoreau's Health Care Plan. This includes providing First Aid, individual health care, maintaining health records, administering and managing medications, collaborating with external health care providers and communicating with parents/guardians. • During emergencies or crises, lead and coordinate the camp's response from a healthcare perspective in order to provide for the health and safety of campers and staff. • Review camper and staff Health History Forms. Check for observable evidence of illness, injury, or communicable disease. Verify and update the Health History Forms. • Set up and maintain the nurse's station and infirmary room. • Maintain and follow state medical and treatment standards, as well as American Camping Association standards for Health Care. • Manage and handle the collection, storage and packaging of all medications in camp. • Administer prescribed medication and practices in order to support the recovery and/or maintenance of a camper's or staff member's health. • Maintain camp health logs. Plan, prepare, and deliver natural history/science based programs to a diverse audience that includes pre-school, school-age, and adult participants, including programs using native, non-releasable wildlife. The Education Coordinator II position is a member of the Education Department team and shares responsibility for birthday parties, Scout programs that may include overnights, special events, school programs both on and off-site, museum exhibit tours and activities, public programs, and other tasks as assigned.

Female Divisions Leader - YMCA Camp Fuller

Camp / Organization: YMCA Camp Fuller (ACA Accredited)

Location: Wakefield, Rhode Island

YMCA Camp Fuller is a traditional, co-ed overnight camp that has been operating on the Rhode Island coast since 1887. Working at Camp Fuller is a chance to make friends, have fun, and grow as person while enjoying a great location, and exceptional program opportunities. We are looking for female division leaders, who would be in charge of a division at camp. This would involve supervising 15-20 staff members and over 80 campers per session. Responsibilities would include staff training, evaluations, supervision, staff and camper behavior, scheduling staff, interacting closely with parents, on call duty and responsibilities in a program area. This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to pursue professional camping.

Director of Special Needs Programs - Channel 3 Kids Camp

Camp / Organization: Channel 3 Kids Camp (ACA Accredited)

Location: Andover, Connecticut

Channel 3 Kids Camp in Andover and Coventry, CT is seeking a Director of Special Needs Programs. This position entails working alongside the Camp Director to design and implement program that integrates typically developing children with those who have physical, emotional, and/or developmental challenges for the 2013 camping season. This is a full time salaried position and will require a start date of June 1, 2012. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience of candidate. Degree in recreational therapy or similar field is preferred. 5+ years in camping, specifically in programs designed for special needs is preferred.
