A workshop for first and second-year cabin leaders and camp counselors. Truth-telling is an ethical struggle for everyone, at least in some circumstances. Youth leaders have a special role to play in shaping kids' moral development, especially in tight communities like camps. Your expert guidance can help young people see the value of telling the truth—without shaming them—and will make them better friends, better sports, and better leaders. This interactive workshop will challenge participants to explore the limits of their own honesty, as well as devise graceful, instructive methods for helping their campers tell the truth when it counts. Your new skill set will help you decrease gossip, enhance sportsmanship, and forge closer relationships at your summer program.
