In an era of unprecedented humanitarian challenges and social isolation, summer camps can provide children and adults with a community of social support like no other. Effective leadership is most essential during these trying times, as social distancing and stay-at-home orders increase the risk for anxiety and depression among campers and employees.
This webinar presented by Steve Mazza, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist, faculty member at Columbia University Medical Center, as well as a camp consultant and staff trainer, will briefly review the principles of Relationship-Based Leadership and demonstrate how Advocacy, Cultivation, Empowerment, and Service can help protect your campers and staff from some of the risk factors associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Emphasis will be placed on strategies related to digital outreach leading up to this summer.
