This is "Boot Camp" for new camp directors or those planning a camp career. In a small, supportive atmosphere, we will discuss the many tools you’ll need for running a successful day or resident camp. Learn from the pros about everything from staff hiring and training to working with parents, from dealing with children to handling the everyday situations and issues that are an inevitable part of your life at camp. A team of experienced directors and consultants will lead workshops and provide invaluable materials and hands-on training scenarios.

In Massachusetts, to meet the Department of Public Health standards for camp directors, directors must complete this course as well as a Department of Public Health led session. Massachusetts Camping Association will be hosting a DPH session April 22 at Camp Winadu, Pittsfield, MA or April 24 at Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA.
