This two-day session is designed for New Adventure Program Directors, Facilitators and Belay Assistants. The content will focus on challenge course belay skills, Australian belay, basic knot tying, element set-up, take down, Standard Operating Procedures for high challenge course elements and climbing wall management. Prerequisites: If participants are not already familiar with core adventure concepts such as Challenge by Choice, Full Value Contract and the Experiential Learning Cycle as well as low element facilitation, they should consider taking Session One of the Institute: Facilitation Skills and Low Elements prior to taking this session. For this session, participants must bring their camp/organizations' harnesses, belay device(s), and helmets in order to be trained on equipment they will be using. These must be less than 10 years old and pass a visual inspection.

Registration Information

Register and pay for the training directly through Project Adventure. Price includes lunch each day. On-site lodging is available and reservations/payments for lodging are made directly through the site. Upon registration, applicants will be sent an official confirmation email with site logistics and a questionnaire to complete with more information about their camp program.
