As we move into week #15 of our Camp Spotlight Series, we are delighted to introduce the Girl Scouts of Maine Summer Camp (GSME). Located in the heart of Maine, the GSME offer three all girls summer camps including: Camp Scelkit (Kittery, ME), Camp Pondicherry (Bridgton, ME), and Camp Natarswi (Baxter State Park, ME).
In addition, the GSME offer four different summer camp programs which are: Discovery Day Camp, Resident Camp, Troop Mini- Camp & Family Camp. For girls in grades 1-4, Discovery Day Camp is the place for young campers to get a feel for camp while exploring the outdoors and making new friends.
Resident overnight camp offers traditional and specialty camp programs like trail blazers, horseback riding, theater, and biking. Troop Mini-Camp allows Girl Scout troops to try all the fun activities that summer camp at GSME has to offer as a group. Family Camp allows families in either “Me and My Mom” or “Me and My Dad” program the opportunity to spend the weekend rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, fishing and more!
