ACA New England’s annual Conference and CampEXPO takes place in one action-packed weekend at the end of March. Where and when does said action occur? Why, at the Center of New Hampshire Radisson in Manchester, NH, on March 26-27, 2010. Take two steps to get yourself and/or your staff there: Book now - the hotel fills up quickly - and register now, here.
Check out a preliminary schedule of the vast and varied workshops we're offering at the conference: over 75 presentations given by nearly 40 great speakers and facilitators.
Our keynote speaker is renowned speaker, educator, and author Michael Brandwein. He'll deliver a talk called "Camp is an InCamparable Experience," and he'll be here on both days of the Conference, leading four additional workshops. It's been a while since he's joined us in Manchester - make sure you don't miss him by registering now.
Many of your favorite presenters will be back, including Jodi Rudick (who presented our fall seminar), Dr. Ethan Schafer, Dr. Chris Thurber (interviewed elsewhere on our site), Steve Maguire, and Scott Arizala.
In addition, this may well be the most relevant and interesting slate of workshops and presentations we've ever had at the Conference. There are sessions on developing leadership programs, creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere for gay campers and staff, reducing illness and injury, raising funds and marketing effectively, and the usual cadre of topics essential to ensuring a great summer.
What happens at the Conference and CampEXPO?
The Conference is an opportunity for camp professionals to connect, share, and learn. We'll have over 85 seminars, workshops, and roundtables, led by veteran camp administrators and other noted experts. Over 800 people – directors and counselors, veterans and newcomers – will attend over the course of the weekend, and the positive atmosphere was overwhelming. Unsure of whether it's worth it? Check out what some people wrote to us after last year's Conference. One said, “This was my first time attending the ACA New England Conference. I had the time of my life. I will try to pass it on to anyone who will listen.” Another said, “It’s a great investment in your staff. They learn more and feel a sense of empowerment as professionals, and that their organization values their development.”
The CampEXPO is also a valuable opportunity for camp professionals to meet vendors face-to-face and develop long-lasting partnerships with them. Come see what you’ve been missing; register now.
