Check back for the latest updates on the New England Camp Conference!
We hope you took away some new learnings, made connections, and left inspired for the upcoming summer season!
Feedback is incredibly important to us (and to our workshop presenters).
- If you haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes to fill out the overall conference evaluation here(or by opening your Guidebook Guide on the app to the Overall Evaluation page) by Friday, April 12.
- You also still have time to complete session evaluations. To get to them, just navigate to the session you attended on the Guidebook schedule (accessible through the app or the web version) and click on Educational Session Feedback under the Forms heading. Your feedback will be automatically linked to that specific session. Please fill out an evaluation for each session you attended.
Many of our presenters shared some great handouts with attendees. You can also access them through the app or the web version of the Guide. When you navigate to a specific session, you should find any documents under the PDF or URL headings.
Don’t forget to save the date for next year’s New England Camp Conference – March 26 – 28, 2020!
And, please stay involved with us so we see you before next year’s conference!
• We have some great professional development programming coming up this spring (Associate Visitor Workshop on April 12, Urban Camps Symposium on May 2, and New Camp Director Workshop on May 3) and fall (Camp Tours in Maine, September 10 – 12, details TBD).
• We are also always looking for volunteers to join our program planning and other committees. e-Mail email@example.com to learn more!
Our Guidebook app is live – download it to access all of the conference details, including handouts and evaluations; to make sure you get updates; and to build your own personalized schedule! If you already have Guidebook on your device from last year, just search for this year’s guide, 2019 New England Camp Conference. The New England Camp Conference is not just about learning and attending educational sessions, though that’s a very important piece of inspire, educate, and connect.
Here are two ways to connect at this year’s event: A Night at the ACA Grand (Thurs) and our Annual Meeting & Celebration Dinner (Fri).
EPIC (Emerging Professionals in Camping) is a group within the American Camp Association. EPIC New England is a regional affiliate and welcomes any members whose camp is in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont. EPIC connects emerging professionals from around the country and strives to provide meaningful opportunities for learning and networking. There are no official EPIC "membership requirements"; anyone is welcome if the topic and conversations speak to you and can help you on your path to personal and professional growth!
Volunteers are the heart and soul of membership organizations like ACA. You help us run more smoothly, make decisions that take many perspectives into account, and engage a broad reach of individuals from across the summer camp spectrum. THANK YOU!
We are excited to present to you the 2019 lineup of sessions! This information will be available in the GuideBook app once available, however these PDFs are available for your viewing pleasure and to be able to print out if so desired.
2019 Call for Proposals for educational sessions has closed as of Friday, October 26, 2018. Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal. We aim to make decisions by mid-December.
